Digital creative recovering from being chronically online.
My career started in Chicago when I was studying PR & Advertising at DePaul University, with minors in LGBTQ Studies and Media & Culture Studies. As a broke college student with a digital camera and 10 cents in my student meal plan, I went around the city offering my social media and photography skills to upscale restaurants in exchange for free leftovers.
Eventually, that evolved into managing social accounts for Kellogg’s RXBAR, a grassroots political campaign, and even a steel manufacturing company. I was also an e-mail copywriter for Crate & Barrel from 2019-2021, helping the company revamp their email marketing strategy.
But, my first love has always been pop culture. As a former Twitter troll, I would tweet about any and all Hollywood gossip. This eventually opened doors for freelancing gigs at The Washington Post, Teen Vogue, Catapult, and InStyle.
In 2021, I joined Netflix to help launch their brand new companion website, Tudum.com. I helped create exclusive content to help fans dive deeper into Netflix titles. Today, I’m freelancing in entertainment and media. If you’re looking for someone who’s great with words, going viral for embarrassing reasons, and social media, let’s collaborate!
